FAQ
Questions people often ask us
Honest answers to help you feel more comfortable reaching out. If your question isn't here, just ask — we're happy to help.
Getting started
Is my enquiry confidential?
Yes. Anything you share when you call, message or fill in the contact form is treated with care and confidentiality. You're welcome to reach out using only your first name.
Can I contact you on behalf of a family member?
Absolutely. Many of our first conversations are with worried parents, partners and friends. We'll help you understand the options and how to approach your loved one. See our For Families page for guidance.
What if I'm not sure I “need” treatment?
That's okay — you don't need to be certain to reach out. A conversation can help you decide what support is right for you. You can also try our private alcohol self-check.
When can I contact you?
Any time. We're available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week — by phone, WhatsApp or email. Help shouldn't have to wait for office hours.
How do I get in touch?
Call or WhatsApp +264 81 253 7069, email hebreb@iway.na, or use our confidential contact form.
About the centre
Is the centre registered?
Yes. Hephzibah is a verified treatment centre registered with the Namibian Ministry of Health and Social Services.
Where are you located?
We're at Plot 30 Nubuamis Hills, Brakwater, Windhoek, Namibia — on the peaceful outskirts of Windhoek. See the map and directions on our contact page.
Who runs the centre?
The centre is led by founder and Centre Manager Cynthia Martin, with psychotherapist Ceaseria Matiti and a multidisciplinary team. Read more about our team.
Treatment
Do you treat addictions other than alcohol and drugs?
Yes. Alongside alcohol and substance abuse we support people struggling with gambling, tobacco and nicotine, and pornography addiction. The patterns underneath are often the same — compulsion, secrecy, and the strain it puts on family — and they are treated with the same structured, confidential care.
What kind of treatment do you offer?
An in-house (residential) treatment programme for stress, alcohol and substance abuse, and addiction. It includes a multidisciplinary assessment and individually tailored psychotherapy, with family involvement.
Do you treat young people?
Yes. We support young people from 15 years old, as well as adults.
Will my family be involved?
Our foundation is the family unit, so families are part of the healing process wherever possible — always with care for the client's wellbeing.
How long is the programme, and what does it cost?
This depends on each person's assessment and needs. Please call +264 81 253 7069 or email hebreb@iway.na and we'll give you clear information for your situation.
What if someone relapses after treatment?
Relapse can be part of recovery, just as symptoms can return with other chronic illnesses. It's a sign that support needs adjusting — please reach out again. You're always welcome back.
